Damon and his wife Taty’s vision (With the endless help of Mike Morton) for a real, small-business support chamber/commerce club in Georgia is finally a reality. This local Wealth Management Team has founded the most dynamic community web site to keep Georgia working and doing business locally.
The mission was to create a real, small business cooperative that blends social media and business networking with complete community involvement and integration. This online membership, interactive periodical for all things commerce has amassed over 1600 Twitter followers @GACommerceClub, almost 1500 Facebook Fans, 1000 active members, and almost 40 weekly events on the GCC Community Calendar. If this Club had been around for the last 5 years or more, earning the “number one” brand in Georgia Business Networking would be impressive enough given the incredibly popular and strong chambers and business groups already present. What may be more amazing is that this “new kid” has done this in less than ten months opening its doors officially on January 4th of this year. What may be even more amazing is that it was accomplished with $0 government, municipal, or membership funding. $0 for marketing, advertising, or salaries. Also without a paid staff, downtown address, or powerful superstar spokesperson.
This was just accomplished with one couple’s vision and a bunch of good karma business people/volunteers wanting to build a better community; most notably the Ladd-Thomases. Damon and Taty built this free business community founded on the free “PeachSeed” Membership to help Georgia Grow Business.
